IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS…
Show Jumping Lessons with Ian Wright
Show jumping lessons at Mullacott Event Centre have continued since October. Clinics are booked in groups of three, each a fortnight apart and are just £20 each for an hour in small groups. If all three clinics in the group are booked then the total price is reduced to £50. The next set of three lessons is 9th March, 23rd March and 6th April. Book with Suzie Wilson on fb or 07749 907747.

Open Dressage Competition At Mullacott Sunday 16th October
With approximately 60 entries this was a great day of dressage. Well done to everybody who took part.

AGM Wednesday 26th October 2016
Many thanks to our guest speaker, Ruth Squance, Equine Dental Technician

It was agreed that we would amend the membership year to fall in line with the calendar year. This will make our administration with British Riding Clubs much simpler. The change is:
‘the annual subscription shall be payable by the 1st January each year’
We will manage this by extending the coming year from renewal on 1st November 2016 until 31st December 2017.

Indoor X Country Clinic with Tim Cheffings Wednesday 28th December
Five of us enjoyed a post Xmas XC clinic – just what we needed after all that Christmas food.

Xmas Meal
Twenty of us had a lovely evening at The Rock in Georgeham in early January as a post–Xmas party. Good food, good company and an impossible quiz. Well done to our winner – Helen Prentice

Feed Evening with Allen & Page Friday 20th January
Many thanks to Isabel Greenaway for talking about Allen & Page’s ethical approach to feeding and for explaining all the different types and levels of feed. Looking forward to hearing how our members get on that have now changed their feeding regime.

…NEWS
Club Camps
We were very disappointed to have to cancel the spring camp and would love to know your thoughts on what to do. Is it the venue / facilities / distance to travel / time of year / length of stay / price that is putting you off? Is there something we could change to make camp more attractive? We would love to have your ideas so that we can organise an event that you would like to attend.

The Air Ambulance
As many of you will know one of our members had a serious fall at camp in October 2016. The Committee has nominated the Air Ambulance as its charity this year and we will have a collection tin at our events. We would love to make a difference for this charity and hope you will be able to give generously.

Booking on Clinics and Events
To help us manage clinics and events please contact the clinic/event organiser prior to paying to check there are spaces. Spaces are confirmed as payment is received so
your place will only be confirmed when the club has received your payment.
Please tell the organiser when you have paid too. You must pay by the advertised closing date.
If you are unable to attend for any reason tell the organiser as soon as possible and we will try and re-sell your space. If we re-sell your space your money will be refunded. Unfortunately sometimes we are unable to re-sell spaces but the club still has to pay for the venue and for the instructor. For this reason too, we can no longer accept payment ‘on the day’. The easiest way to pay is through bank transfer:
Sort code: 30-90-49
Account number: 00385651
plus the clinic/event reference
or you can ask the organiser for an address to send a cheque.

Reduced rate for Riding Club Members at £25
